What Is Hydro Jetting and How Is It Used?

Hydro jetting is a drain and sewer cleaning method that uses high-pressure water to scour the inside of a pipe clean, rather than just punching a hole through a clog the way a snake does.

How it works

A specialized hose delivers water at high pressure through a nozzle that cleans the full circumference of the pipe wall. It slices through tree roots, strips away grease, and clears the mineral scale that Orange County's hard water builds up in drain lines, using water only, with no harsh chemicals.

When it is the right tool

Jetting is ideal for tree roots, grease buildup, recurring clogs and mineral scale. Because it is powerful, we always run a camera inspection first and dial the pressure to the pipe material, gentler on older cast iron and clay lines, full pressure on newer PVC, so we never damage a pipe that is too fragile to handle it.
